When we asked for replacements, the staff shrugged it off saying “it happens.” Models refused to continue under such conditions. To top it off, the final invoice included extra services we never ordered. Never coming back here again.
The studio looked amazing in photos and ads, but reality was completely different. Total chaos with booking — the staff mixed up our reservation and even the studio room we had paid for. When we asked to have clutter removed from our shooting area, they were dismissive and rude. The atmosphere was stressful, and no one seemed to care about helping us. Left feeling disrespected and cheated.
I booked a full-day slot and arrived early, but we didn’t get into the space until almost an hour after our start time. The staff seemed overwhelmed and communication was minimal—no clear update on when we could actually begin. Once inside, we discovered several stands and cables were missing, and we were told those items were “add-ons” with extra fees we hadn’t expected. Between the late start and the add-ons, our schedule and budget were blown. By the time we wrapped, we felt rushed out with little regard for the delay they caused.
Pier 59 Studios is a Good environment. It is busy but great work/life balance. I would recommend. You will meet amazing people and will get to see NYFW shows.

I flew to New York specifically to shoot at Pier59, and it was worth it. Huge spaces, great dressing rooms, and professional staff. Everything ran smoothly without a single technical issue. Definitely coming back!

One of the best studios to shoot in! The prices are high but if you have the budget and need a studio in Manhattan this should be your first choice!
